The Art At Home Gallery, housed in a Victorian terrace, combines elegance and ambience in a revival of the extravagant French salons of the 1880s. Parisian women such as Catherine de Vivonne, whose Hotel de Rambouillet, exhibited art that was banned or denied by the very strict Louvre or Académie jury. Art from impressionists, fauvists, dadaists, and surrealists all vied to exhibit in a spaces that enabled their work to be viewed, accepted and challenged.
